Rinsed people: Cassandra
Each month we’re going to be focusing on the people who really make Rinsed the agency it is; our staff. We start with one of our bright young things, Cassandra, who joined us in July last year, and has made a monumental impact ever since. Nice one Cassandra!
Tell us about what you do at Rinsed.
I’m an account coordinator. That means I manage all aspects of the many events and projects we run. If you know us very well, you’ll know that can be a lot of work, so it keeps me busy! What’s your background?
It’s quite varied. I have a degree in Visual Communications and previously worked in fashion, but my passion for events started through helping my mother in her floral design business, styling weddings. After moving to Sydney I missed the excitement of working in the events industry, so started helping out my sister who was the then head of talent and PR at MTV. That’s where I really experienced what it meant to be involved in big events and through that I met Simon and got introduced to Rinsed. The rest is history!
Your job must be pretty varied. What’s the most unusual thing you’ve had to do in the field of duty?
Where do I start? One thing that sticks in my mind is when I was working on the Xbox stand at EB games. A colleague and I had to dress a hard-core Halo fan in a Master Chief suit so he could stage a live wedding proposal on the stand. If it sounds surreal, that’s because it was!
What’s been the coolest project you’ve worked on this year? That’s got to be the Made to Grow project for Kids Xpress. KidsXpress is an expressive therapy program for children who are experiencing difficulty, loss, challenge or trauma. KidsXpress empowers children by providing an opportunity for self expression through the use of music, art, dance and drama therapies. It was an amazing charity to be involved with.
What’s the last campaign from a brand you’ve seen that’s really made you go ‘wow’?
That’s got to be SNCF “Europe – it’s just next door”.
Have you got a dream client that you’d just love to work with?
I’d love to work with Roc-A-Fella Records or Marvel Comics – just in case you’re reading this, guys!
Tell us something about yourself that will surprise us.
I’m pretty amazing at Crash Bandicoot Racing 😉
What’s the last track you listened to on your iPod?
Chet Faker – No Diggity
What’s the last movie you saw?
Blue Jasmine
